Courtney and I have a table behind our sofa, which was first put in place last Christmas for our Nativity scene. The table has always been an interest of Dooley’s. She figured out at a young age that she could almost get on the table, and tried often, however we never let her. Never. About 2 months ago Courtney was sitting at the chair in front of the table and fell victim to Dooley’s ability to be cute and encouraged Dooley to get on the table. That was the end of it. Now anytime we are sitting at the dining room table and not paying attention to her, she turns into quite the mountain goat and stands on the table to try and be at eye level with us. That is my theory at least. We have since tried to deter her from getting on the table, but to no avail. Dooley is a determined dog. Once you let her do it once, she turns into an unstoppable force looking to defy all of our efforts to domesticate her.
